-----
When we’re reading the Bible we often make the conversation about something it's not based on our own modern culture and biases.
However, whenever we read the Bible, we have to read the scripture in light of the entire "book" in its original context for its original audience, and in light of the entire Bible as a whole.
In this case, we’re reading a letter from Paul to a specific church in Corinth. This letter is a response to some additional correspondence that we don't have access to. This means we’re getting a small portion of a much more detailed conversation.
Knowing this, we need to remain humble in our interpretation of what Paul is saying as we read through 1 Corinthians.
We have included additional free study resources in the Bible app at https://my.bible.com/events/49214490 so you can dig in on your own time if you want to understand more. I highly encourage everyone to study for themselves instead of just taking the pastor’s word for what it says.
VALUES:
Our vision is to cultivate loving spiritual communities across the metaverse.
We believe the church can be anywhere at any time with anyone. Everyone is welcome even if you do not believe in God. Where two or three are gathered, Jesus is there.
