DKC3(GBA) - Lightning Lookout Skip
9This video shows the new route for LLO in DKC3(GBA).
Small things might be improvable, but this should give you a rough idea on how this stage could look like in an any% speedrun.
The glitch that makes the stage "freeze" ist the recently discovered Timestop Glitch.
If you team up or switch, the game freezes the environment around for a moment. This disables hitboxes of enemies, barrels, KONG letters, and also stops bonus timers and gimmicks like the lightning in this stage. It also makes enemies freeze in place.
Of course the game does not want you to be in this state, which is why it is cancelled after the team up or switch animation is finished.
However, you can interrupt that animation by dropping off a ledge and land in water, like shown in the video. That causes the animation never to be completed, and therefore staying in that frozen state, while you still regain control of the Kongs.
If you would land on ground, the Kongs would still team up.
This Glitch also works in DKC2(GBA).
