Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is finally here, and it includes three upscaling options out of the box: TAA, DLSS 3.7, and FSR 1. In this video, we compare each to see which delivers the best visual quality at 1440p.

I also tested OptiScaler, a tool that allows you to swap out DLSS for other upscalers like FSR 3 and XeSS 2. While FSR 3 showed visual improvements over FSR 1, it still suffers from particle rendering issues. Interestingly, Intel’s XeSS 2 looks very close to DLSS 3.7 and doesn’t have those same visual glitches from FSR.

Performance-wise, the game is capped at 144 FPS, and I was able to hit that limit most of the time with DLSS or FSR at the Quality preset and max settings. Resolution-wise, at 1440p DLSS looks great at Quality, good at Balanced, and starts to look blurry on my 27" monitor at lower presets.
