0After talking to Hashim, Alisa and others prepare to go to Baya Malay Tower; an ancient and mysterious place where the top of the tower is always shrouded in dense clouds...
They reach Torua Gate, but discover that the gate is enchanted and no ordinary key can open it. Lutz uses the recently learnt Open spell to break the magic seal allowing the party to continue on. Soon, they pass through more underground passage ways and arrive at the next destination; the dreaded Baya Malay tower.
Hands down, the toughest dungeon in the game; super strong enemies, a very confusing dungeon layout, hidden pitfall traps and trapped chests. Indeed, this place can be very challenging and unforgiving. My strategy for dealing with this place was two objectives; Find the soothsayer Damoa and reach the top of Baya Malay tower.
First, the group seek out the wise soothsayer Damoa who is somewhere in this confusing place. Eventually, they find him and after a short cut scene, Damoa hands over his magic crystal, which has the power to disrupt the gravitational field surrounding La Shiec or something like that. Do not leave this place without getting this key item. With Damoa's crystal obtained, the focus now turns to reaching the top of the tower. After what seems like forever (and just barely avoiding a cruelly placed pitfall trap lol) Alisa, Myau, Tyrone and Lutz emerge at the top of Baya Malay.
A pretty cool cut scene plays out where the Aeroprism and Laerma Nuts are used, resulting in some unexpected surprises...
