DmC 2013: Eyeless Level Skip (Speedrun Strategy - Mission 8)
Skipping most of the 'Eyeless' level for a speedrun. This can be done in normal play & on a 'full power' replay. But obviously the jumps would take a bit longer in normal play.
Luckily on a full power speedrun, the game clock is reset to zero for each chapter, so you could legitimately do a full-power chapter-by-chapter speedrun of this game (with the accurate cooperation of the game clock).

Points of Interest:
1. When you get to the final nest via out-of-bounds (where the eye is), it is possible to drop directly into the level again. But it's slightly out of the way, so it's faster to hit the battle cutscene trigger while oob. Doing this immediately places you back inbounds again.
2. After you get the eye, it's possible to return directly to the area where the guy with the missing eye is. But he doesn't realise you have the eye with you. So to get the game to realise that you have the eye already, you have to hit a loading trigger (in-bounds) before you can proceed.
This forces a battle on you, but it all turns out much faster regardless.
3. When you do this forced battle, two sections of the level are overlayed on each other. So you sometimes have to kill enemies behind walls, luckily the Scythe has some attacks that reach beyond walls. The enemy being behind the wall in fact makes the battle faster & easier.
4. After you've done the forced battle, you can't proceed the normal way because of the level overlay. But luckily, a section of the level is still unloaded so you can simply make an out-of-bounds route to the guy with the missing eye.
