6My review of DMX's debut studio album, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. Released in 1998 and followed up by his sophomore album that same year DMX blazed a trail for NY hip hop in the late 90s and into the new century with this classic hip hop album. Unfortunately he recently passed and I hope that everyone keeps in mind the music that he shared with us to remember him by.
