Do Gamers Know What They Want? Original Fallout Dev Has a Lot To Say!
Are gamers clueless as to what games they want? Well it's complicated, and Tim Cain gives us a bunch of great insight into this topic in his video, but there's a few things missing that I felt I could contribute to on this discussion.
I outline some major topics from his video and the Bound Into Comics article about it (thought I highly recommend you check out his video linked below) as well as giving my own insight into this topic, from the perspective of a gamer, an indie dev, and from someone who has been watching the sales figures pretty closely for the past year or so. Hopefully this will spark some discussion and further introspection on ways to improve the lines of communication between gamers and developers.
