Do not play this game in VR if being chased through a maze by a gang of murderous monkeys until they hit you with some VR jumpscares sounds like a good time to you, it's a cursed game! Dark Deception VR has been rumoured for a long time and the game even has Oculus files in its configuration folders but there is still no "official" way to unlock the long sought after VR mode. SO I had to turn to my old friend Vorpx to get Dark Deception VR working, I was able to get a Z3D version of the game running with some decent headtracking for the most immersive experience currently available...and I regretted it immediately because those murder monkeys really did not come to play!

This Dark Deception VR gameplay covers the first two levels of the Dark Deception campaign, Monkey Business & Elementary Evil. The aim of the game is simple (it's basically a Pacman horror game), players just have to collect all the crystals located within a maze whilst avoiding the horrors that lurk around every corner, once all the crystals have been collected it's time to get the hell out and move onto the next stage. Dark Deception chapter 1, 2 & 3 are all available now & I'll play through all other stages in VR whilst we wait for the final chapter, Dark Deception chapter 4, to launch. Even though it's not native (yet) Dark Deception has the potential to be one of the scariest VR games out there with tonnes of replayability.
