The new king of Oculus Quest 2 platform games? // VEN VR ADVENTURE GAMEPLAY QUEST 2
296Ven VR Adventure manages to feel like a Crash Bandicoot VR game and one of the best family games for Oculus Quest 2, a brightly coloured, vibrant platforming adventure with a tonne of personality & plenty of collectibles to round up. As someone who grew up in the golden era of 3D platformers (Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Banjo, Croc etc...) it's great to see some Oculus Quest 2 platform games starting to show just how enjoyable this kind of adventure can be in a VR environment, we have plenty of top tier first person shooters and action games but more variety is always a good thing & games like Astro Bot, Moss & Trover have already proven this there's a market for these experiences.
Set on alien worlds inhabited by fox like creatures Ven VR Adventure looks gorgeous on the Quest 2 and tasks players with leading Ven through a series of wonderful platforming levels with enemies to defeat & collectibles to be found. The game ships with three different difficulties so it should be easy to pick up for newcomers, younger players and adults who grew up with the 3D platforming classics of yesteryear. Fans of hunting collectibles will also find a huge amount to enjoy in Ven VR Adventure Oculus Quest 2 as each level is packed with runes, crates & vens kin to find and an alternate time attack mode that gives you reason to repeat previous levels again & again. I would like to see a smooth camera option, some more feedback in combat (a little vibration goes a long way) and some fine tuning on the speed of movement but all in all Ven is a highly enjoyable Quest 2 adventure for all ages.
