Do We Need Antivirus Program in 2018

Don't be fooled by the name Antivirus, it will still protect your computer like anti-malware software can and maybe better.

Any security software is better than no security software. I will be testing Bitdefender and Avast against Malwarebyte Premium. Today people think there is no need for Antivirus software and this is clearly not the case. Don't believe everything you read or hear because its simply not true.

I run these 3 on my system and I have had not issues.

1. Antivirus Software (Run only one) 1st Line of defence
2. Malwarebytes or use what you like. 2nd Line of defence
3. Firewall 3rd Line of defence
4. Run Windows as a limited user and not as Administrator 4th Line of defence
5. Backup your computer regularly

Follow these steps and you will have trouble free computing and even if you did manage to get severely infected, you have backups of all your data so it won't matter, even if you get hit by Ransomware.

Just reinstall and your back up and running.
