In todays video I react to and breakdown the horrifying history of Leprosy. I explain what Leprosy is, its clinical manifestations, the stigma associated with being a leper as well as how we treat Leprosy from a doctor's perspective.
We also take a look at how people who suffered from leprosy were treated in the past being quarantined into remote leper colonies for example in Kalaupapa in Hawaii.
Lastly, I also explain why there has been a recent rise in cases of leprosy in the United states.
Now this show may not be for everyone as the scenes we look at today are quite graphic, so please be warned.
