DOES IT HOLD UP? Shadow Man: Remastered (Part 1)
Does this game hold up after so many years? In some ways, yes - it does. In other ways, no - no it does not. In fact, there are ways it doesn't hold up that definitely should have been corrected in a "remaster." I struggle to call this a remaster in fact because it's just the exact same game with almost no improvements - it's just working on newer systems now and in widescreen and everything. It doesn't feel remastered. The jumping system needed to be completely remastered for this but they didn't even touch it. Half the time he doesn't jump at all, you can hit a platform and he'll still fall because "reasons", and jumping sideways or backwards literally does not work the way it should at all. If I'm hanging on a cliff and I want to jump backwards I should hold S and hit SPACE. That's not what you do. You let go of everything and hit space. You can't face the platform you're aiming for, you just have to trust that he's going to jump backwards instead of forward or dropping down (which also randomly happens for no reason). It's ridiculous.
