Today, as young Bridgit Njoki was laid to rest at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ndumberi, Kiambu County, the air was thick with grief, anger, and unanswered questions. Another bright life cut short—another family shattered—while those in power continue with their empty speeches and hollow promises.
Bridgit’s requiem mass was a painful reminder of how little this government values Kenyan lives. How many more mothers must wail in anguish? How many more innocent souls must be lost before Ruto and his regime wake up from their cruel indifference?
We are tired of condolences without action. We are tired of leaders who shed crocodile tears at funerals but do nothing to protect the people they swore to serve. Bridgit deserved justice. She deserved safety. She deserved a future.
SHAME ON YOU, RUTO. Shame on you for presiding over a country where young dreams are buried daily while you and your allies feast on the suffering of ordinary Kenyans. When will enough be enough? When will you finally feel the pain of the people, or are you too numb with power to care?
Rest in peace, Bridgit Njoki. Your life mattered. Your death will not be forgotten.
