Niefelheim is one of the stronger nations of the EA, and it's mostly based off the sheer power of a few tricks that they can easily pull of, but most other nations can't perform in any reasonable way. Niefelheim turbocommunions allow them to spam midcost spells with incredible ease, using a few juiced-up Skratti as slaves for several times as many Gygjas to flood the battlefield with skeletons; Skratti also make fantastic thugs and raiders, combining good stats and high HP with decent self-buff magic and innate regeneration. On top of that, Niefelheim has access to one of the relatively few recruitable SC chassis, opening up a strategic avenue that many nations can't easily access. Between those powerful communion strategies and good thugs, Niefelheim is definitely capable of winning wars while they work on the transition towards being a strong late-game Blood power. While hampered by a mediocre-to-bad troop lineup and extremely high recruitment costs, the strengths of the nation are more than enough to compensate.
