Here's a speed run of world 2-1: Poppin' Planks of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. This level is pretty easy to play, but a pain to speed run.

I noticed that this level is more difficult in the 3DS version than in the Wii version to speed run. Luckily, the requirements for shiny gold were altered from 0:59.00 (Wii) to 1:02.00 (3DS).

What makes the 3DS version more difficult to run are two crabs you can bounce off in the Wii version to reach the platforms earlier which saves quite a lot of time. Those are the crabs at 0:32 and 0:54 (Youtube timer). In the 3DS version you cannot reach the platforms when bouncing off the crabs. Another difference between the versions can be found at 0:38. Bouncing off the enemies actually slows the kongs down. In the Wii version, use of the jetpak can be completely avoided, but in this version you'll have to use it.

So with that in mind, getting a decent time at this level is very difficult. I'm pretty pleased with this run. I did this like 2:15AM, so I was tired, which is why I made some time-consuming mistakes (like 0:25 and 0:44, also 0:58 and beyond could have been done more optimal), but I got shiny gold and that's what counts to me.

I'm sure about the shiny gold time being 1:02.00, because my run of 1:02.07 did not get accepted as a shiny gold run.
