Another potentially great song that unfortunately never saw the light of day for several reasons: The producer I had in line to mix and master the track dropped off the face of the planet plus the female vocalist I had doing the backups flaked out on me. Now this song is just dated (being around 3 years old given the 2012 reference) so will continue to be nothing more than a B-side. The beat itself was produced by Jay Bishop.

::Lyrics::
[Chorus]
No time for livin'
No time for dying, baby
No time for singin'
No time for crying, baby
I'm gonna walk on through this world
But it don't mean that I gotta like it
I don't like it, I won't like it
Don't mean that I gotta like it

[Verse 1]
The road is dusty and my lungs are full of cancer now
Cant imagine how these people stand to hang around
And everyday's another day we wish it were the end
Running circles in the ground until our broken legs cant bend
Where the orbit ends another starts
Until the sun supernovas and the world starts to rot
And now the plot thickens, a pot full of chickens
The mobs about to picket and the clock keeps tickin'
No government conspiracy just paranoia
The country's run by anyone with higher paying lawyers
Have your bomb shelters ready, boys and girls don't be afraid
Remember everything will be okay if all you do is pray
Too many runners in the human race to realize
That here at any given moment now we all could die
Though the world has gone to hell I think I'll stick it through
Whoever said that life was beautiful can't stand the truth

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
My legs are tired now, my feet on fire now
My brain is wired but compassion's all expired now
I practice patience everyday we're made complacent
Now I'm pacing on a sheet of ice caught up in self elation
We got our own definition of what's freedom
But where's the media when you finally really need em
I'm not a pessimist I'm just a human being
But with 2012 around the corner where's the time for singing

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
The road is muddy and my lungs are barely working now
I finally figured out how people stand to hang around
And not a single day goes by I wish it were the end
I walked a rut into the ground and now my broken legs wont bend
Where the orbit starts the orbit ends
The sun has blackened out and now the earth will never mend
We got our reasons for believing what we do
Conspirators and clergy men all have their versions of the truth
I suffer with the masses now remember boys and girls
We're not the only people with a problem in this fucked up world
From night to day, from day to to night
I said that things would be okay, God I pray I'm right
So many runners in this human race I realized
That here at any given moment now that I could die
Though the world has gone to hell I think I'll stick it through
Whoever said that life was beautiful could stand the truth
