Don't Starve: A look at caves
395Caves are pretty fun to adventure around in, and you can find those light bulbs which are fairly useful, but all in all, the alpha caves don't have enough useful, unique resources to make it worth spending much time in them other than to just explore around.
From a tips perspective, I'd advise keeping them closed until you're well established and have strong gear and several mining hats. Once you are, they make a good place to get more rocks once your above ground stores are gone or infested with spider queens. Other than that, caves are for fun, but aren't yet useful for survival.
