Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (PC) Gameplay -No Commentary- (Radeon Super Resolution upscale, RSR)
4I have still yet to play all the way through Resurrection of Evil, despite owning it for almost as long as I have the original Doom 3. I am running this off the original Retail version of the game, even though I also own the Steam version. I have Radeon Super Resolution enabled, which is, essentially, FSR for older games that don't support it. A lot of channels that covered RSR kind of missed the point of what it's best use is for, and that's upscaling older games to higher resolutions they don't support. I am upscaling 1600x1200 to 4K in this footage, and the game looks great. I've never seen the game look so good. When I turn RSR off, I can notice a difference, especially in motion, even if the game still looks great at 1600x1200 by itself. Honestly, RSR works the best for retro PC games. Most channels compared it to games that already supported FSR and DLSS, but for upscaling old games to modern resolutions, it works wonderfully.
