I was watching a video that shows all alpha versions of DOOM 1. Some were pretty interesting & made me felt, "why wasn't this in the final release?"

later, I found someone who made a DOOM WAD that contains the Alpha Hud.

sadly, I've come to realize that this hud hog's up 25% of the screen + it only fits on certain resolutions. (mine is set at 1900x1200) so only try it if you're interested. I like this hud because it gives me the feeling of whats it like to be in those space marine helmets.
