Well boyos, we did it. The review bombing of Doom Eternal on Steam seems to have work ID and Bethesda up. What started off as a terrible week with them adding Denuvo anti-cheat to Doom Eternal is now going to end on a high note as they've promised to remove it.

Denuvo AC is a kernel level anti-cheat. It means it sits in the HIGHEST place in your computer's functioning. It essentially sits on the same layer as the operating system. If Denuvo AC was ever hacked, it could turn your PC into a toaster. It's also near impossible to trust something that sits with such privilege because he can run unchecked. It seems the uproar was big enough to make them walk the change back.
