Oh no, it's a random map.

Yes, but this one has some sort of character to it. Compare this layout to the stuff generated by v3 and v4, and it's clear that things now are leaps and bounds ahead of the boxy stuff from back then. There's still some repetition in places (those marble hallways will be seen frequently on some maps to interconnect areas), but by and large it's a lot more fun to play these things. They almost feel like they've been created manually, rather than by raw machine algorithms and all that bullshit. Why?

Because in a sense, a lot of the stuff has been created manually. Welcome to the wonderful world of prefabricated segments, and the scope it brings to expand almost endlessly on how a map can turn out (if you're willing to fool around and put some effort of your own into things). No more of that "the same shaped room but at a different scale", or "another big square with a big square of unavoidable green crud in the middle".

Well alright, I guess you can put some of that stuff there again too if you want.
