Doom Mapping Skool #005
4A lot of things covered here, mainly making stairs, looking more at texture alignment issues and trying the various tools of Doom builder that automate stairs or gradient light creation. I show how I used to manually edit sectors one by one to do the same thing, till I realized there are better tools in this editor (I learn many things myself too).
Topics covered in this lesson:
- Building stairs either on your own or by using the automated tools
- Vertically aligning the texture on the lower side of the stairs.
- Showing a bit of the visual editor functions, like automatic horizontal alignment of textures, copy pasting and flood filling of textures, etc
- Creating gradient sector lighting, first on my own, then by using the two other better ways (brightmaps editor and gradient sector lighting)
