Doom maps that gzdoom won't let you play: NeoDoom.WAD

Newer versions of gzdoom won't let this Doom mod be loaded, while older versions do. For a mod that was designed to be played with Zdoom primarily. They can't take care of their own stuff apparently.
It works with gzdoom 1.9.1 (2016) and with Zdoom32 (from 2019, software render only, no openGL)
I have seen this happening more than I would like lately and I will start documenting these occurences.
But even with video proof some people will still deny these things happen.
It's concerning that gzdoom has been introducing new features lately (like the function A_SpawnMissile for example, that is supposed to replace A_FireCustomMissile) that will break compatibility with older versions of gzdoom. Specially concerning for older computers since latest gzdoom restricts only newer GPUs to work with the game, openGL 4.0 minimum required) And also concerning since gzdoom doesn't seem to have Software Render anymore, so they will force you to use the dark/washed-out openGL renderer in order to play Doom maps.
Mod creators will have to become aware of these things and try to make their mods or maps compatible with Prboom, to ensure people can still choose which port they use.
Restricting mods only to newer versions of gzdoom will also prevent people from using mods or maps in Zandronum/Doomseeker for multiplayer games, which is based on gzdoom 1.9.1... gzdoom to this day still does not have multiplayer of its own, even Co-op is problematic, players lose sync, etc.

Even using the Software Light Mode the game is still too dark/blurry to be able to see things clearly. But again: even with video footage proof, people will still deny these things happen.

If I didn't happen to use Noclip by accident I would never find that room...
This mod seems to have a lot of easter eggs, I barely scratched the surface. Hours upon hours of fun. Enjoy.
Now that you know how, they can't gatekeep you anymore.
