As a big fan of Doom 2016 and a MASSIVE fan of Doom Eternal, I was very excited for The Dark Ages. I didn't expect it to be as good as Eternal, but I did think it would add an interesting twist. Unfortunately, I don't think that happened, and I think the game ended up being significantly dumbed down from its predecessors.
