There's a lot of versions of Brutal Doom, the controversial and epic gameplay mod by Sargent_Mark_IV, And despite the link's spelling, This Gold Edition of V21 is the final complete build of Brutal Doom, (shame that V22 will be the final version, After 10 or more years Brutal Doom's development is ending), It has all bug fixes across all 10 RC releases.
I still think V20 was the perfect release of Brutal Doom but V21 is a close second because of the new weapons including Fire Axe, Unmaker and the BFG10K from Skulltag, Enemies include Pistol Zombies and Axe Zombies, including a few monsters from Project Brutality, Gameplay changes have made V21 not as (hard?) as V20, There's options like easier realism mode (which still has instakill deaths but enemies don't have fast movement) or Easy black metal (where enemies still move fast but don't do as much damage)
I'm not as good at Brutal Doom as I am at "Vanilla" Doom, I changed my setting to how I play in Half-Life with jumping logged to the Mouse wheel when pressed and switching weapons with the up and down mouse wheel, Enemies on Ultra Violence are just as dangerous as the base game except they have different attacks here, The Fatalities system seems a bit glitchy for enemies such as the Pinky Demon that killed me at the end doesn't do fatalities on the player unless they are behind.
None the less, I do play it now and then when I am bored, Perhaps the author will make V22 great too and finally showcase that big Megawad he is working on named "Extermination Day" (which was called Hell On Earth Starter Pack previously).
