(DOS) Flight Simulator 4: Meigs Field (KCGX) to Chicago O'Hare (KORD) || World Tour Begins!
KILR GAMER'S WORLD TOUR
Microsoft Flight Simulator 4 (DOS)
Leg 1:
Merrill C. Meigs Field (KCGX) to Chicago O'Hare International (KORD)
The World Tour begins with a flight simulator that I have not played before! It is nearly identical to MS Flight Simulator 3 which was ported from the SubLogic Flight Simulator II program for the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST computers. The difference here is more fluid animation, plus this was designed to allow users to create their own airports and aircraft allowing the ability to cover all the areas that were not done by SubLogic. Whereas the Amiga version is limited in coverage, MS Flight Simulator 4 will not be as limited. This allows this classic simulator to follow its children across the United States and beyond!
But let's not get too hasty! All adventures start somewhere, and ours begins here at the classic Meigs Field in chicago, Illinois. We'll be flying past the skyline and landing over at O'Hare. Also note that unlike the Commodore 64 and Amiga versions, we'll be starting off with the SubLogic scenery disks (USA East) rather than using the default, Chicago scenery. We'll also be making use of airports and scenery created by the community!
Join me for a fun trip back in time when simulators were much simpler.
