Phoenix is usually played as an offlane hero when he is played, but around May Cloud 9 was playing him as either an offlane or support hero. The difference in the build is that you focus on maxing sunray second if you're support, and Dive second if you're offlane.

By doing this, it gives you a ranged nuke, a heal, and a good way to do damage from ranged, where you'll generally sit as a support hero.

In this game you'll notice that my dives weren't always for setting up ultimates. Dives were for positioning myself away from opponents and applying the slow. I also generally used the ultimate in defensive ways where it covered my allies when they were in trouble, or added damage to my opponents.
