Windows 10 comes with a Maps app that lets you search for locations, get turn-by-turn directions, and see points of interest wherever you go. If you know you won't have an internet connection on your computer, you can still use these features by downloading offline maps.
When you download these regional maps, you'll be able to get directions and search for places like restaurants and coffeeshops even when you're not connected to the internet. The quickest way to download maps is through the system settings. Here's how.
In this video, I'll show you step by step how to Download Offline Maps before travelling on Windows 10! This feature is particularly useful in Windows 10 devices such as laptops, and tablets. The downloaded maps would be saved in your Computer's hard disk. You can download as many maps as you wish.
If have limited same on your C drive, you can select a different Drive (location) before starting the download! The offline map only works for driving direction and not for transit or walking. If you connect to internet and because you've downloaded the map, it'll consume less data for calculating transit, walking, traffic, etc.
The offline map is a Bing map incorporation with TomTom and not the google maps. Nevertheless, it has enough information to get you to your desire destiny. Obviously, you could delete the maps after finish using them.
