Downstream \ BTD6 New Map Gameplay
2Downstream is an Intermediate track introduced in the Version 4.0 update on 12th September 2018. The track consists of a river alongside a looped stone path crossing said river a number of times. Bloons start from the top, loop around twice, and then exit towards the right of the screen, following the stone path.
The two rock piles within the circles can be removed for $350 each. They do not block Line of Sight limits, but they do prevent towers from placing on until they are removed. The rocks present on the banks of the river are NOT removable and do not allow towers to be placed ontop of them.
Strategies
Both of the circles allow towers with circular damage to be very effective, some being the newly-buffed Glaive Lord, Super Brittle and Inferno Ring.
The water surrounding the first river crossing can be very powerful positions for Destroyers or any straight-firing towers on Pontoons.
This is the first update in BTD6 to only feature a track and not a new hero.
This track is the first track to be named after an already existing track name without being related to the original track at all.
The trees closest to the entrance allow snipers and other smaller towers to be placed under them.

Downstream is an Advanced Difficulty track in Bloons Tower Defense 5. It was released on November 8th, 2012.

Appearance
A fresh, calm and grassy environment; this track takes place by a river. There is plenty of vegetation along this river, with three small islands in the middle. There is quite a bit of room for water towers on this track. This track may be connected to Snake River. The bloons start from the top with on each of the two paths. Each path then splits into another two paths before the bloons exit.

There are 17 flowers in this track.
The bloons travel down the stream on this track, hence the name Downstream.
There are 52 small trees and 4 big trees in this track (56 trees in all).
The first Daily Challenge in this track occurred on December 11, 2012.
This map is one of the most water filled in the entire BTD series; only Dockside, Pool Party, Archipelago, Ice Flow & Challenger Deep have more water. Also, some tracks in Bloons Monkey City have more water as well.
This track is a surprisingly hard track to beat; some think it should be an Expert track rather than an Advanced track.
A red bloon can escape in 17 to 18 seconds, depending on the path the bloons choose to take.
This track hasn't been in Bloons Tower Defense 5 Mobile yet
