So yes, it's back. A surgical strike of pills crammed into a bottle to cure...whatever it is that Dr. Mario's megavitamins are supposed to be able to fix. Or is it three different diseases that can be cured, but only if you take enough matching pills in the proper order?

I'm guessing this represents the lab testing, because I somehow doubt that the FDA would approve of some miracle medicine flimflam if they heard you need to line up the pill pieces with the viruses make both disappear. Plus, you know, let's be honest...it's a medicine developed by a plumber who happened to put on some scrubs one day. I think they'd be more impressed by say a medical degree and some actual logical reasons why these meds should work on anything. I'll bet that these megavitamins don't even work on Fevers, Chills, Coughs, OR Sneezes. Are megavitamins microscopic pills or are these viruses HUGE?

If I haven't mentioned it before, I like how this game uses the Miis a lot better than Tetris Party...Tetris Party only ever has a slow walk and a blank stare into the screen. This game gives us...well, adorable doctor's garb (just like Mario, I can put on the uniform and feel like an expertly trained medical professional! ...except of course for the fact that I'm not) and two rates of what I can only describe as idle gyration...different for male and female "doctors," too! It's so silly, it can't be anything but adorable for little people-facsimiles to be behaving so.

When a male Mii-doctor is excited to realize he's almost achieved his goal, it looks to me that he's celebrating already:

Do the Mario!
Swing your arms from side to side.
Come on, it's time to go do the Mario!
Take one step and then again...

... ... ...

What? No takers? LAM said he had no idea what I was talking about either. Psh, it's not my fault he's doing "the Mario" without knowing all the consequences.

Anyway, there's nothing quite like the extra layer of strategy brought on by the fact that there's only a handful of viruses that you need to clear for the game to end in your favor...it makes for a rather interesting shift in dynamic that makes me feel like I'm more targeted in terms of an objective...which...uh...I haven't really worked out the rest in my head.

It's probably my preferred means of versus, because I'm not so great at managing a huge bunch of viruses without messing up several times along the way. In this mode, I can "mess up" several times in the process of trying to clear a direct path to the flashing viruses...all those other microbes be damned and I guess ignored...because...uh...I have no idea what medical sense this makes.

It also makes for shorter matches on average, meaning they're good for a rapid-fire quick fix of fixing patients...or...bottles...apparently that's not important, all we want to do is clear viruses!
