I was surprised to see that I didn't do a review for Dr. No, however I was glad to read this again. I figured during the off time, I would read Jules Vern's "From the Earth to the Moon". While I loved the Author in "Around the World in 80 Days" "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" "From the Earth to the Moon" was quite Dull, and I have yet to finish it. Not gonna lie, I was hoping for 20,000 Leagues in space, but what I found was basically the author wanting to send himself to the moon. Anyways, we are talking about Dr. No, and this is one of the best Bond books I've read. It's a close second between this and "Goldfinger" for my second favorite, the first being "Moonraker". What was really interesting is while the stories are very similar in the book and the movie, both end up branching into 2 different directions after meeting the title character. With the book, I feel like the "obstacle course" As well as the fight to escape could make a really interesting Goldeneye Mod level. All in all, this reminds me a lot of the Book and movie adaptation of "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Both similar but distinct enough to feel like 2 different stories. I hope you will join me next time for "For Your Eyes Only". Until then, keep having fun.
