Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning (Review)
3Much like last Evolution, I find it impressive How much story is crammed into this movie. Even more so, there is a morale that feels very grown up. What I've found out in recent years is how a bad childhood can be a handicap for Adult life. However, it's something that can be worked on. In the end, the movie is a story of being able to overcome that handicap. Though there is another morale thrown in as well. It's theorized that, the digidestined formed their bond with their digimon over a lie. While the foundation may have been unsteady, the digimon and the digidestined still managed to form a solid relationship, that is shown to be unbreakable. All this, combined with fluid animation, beautiful musical score, and great story telling made this a fantastic watching experience, even if there were some difficult moments to get through. Plus, I'm also a sucker for a Winter esthetic as Winter is my favorite season.
I do wonder though, how this ending changes things. At the end of Last Evolution, We see Sora, Matt's and Tai's Digivice turn to stone. Now that the Digivice no longer exists, does that mean Buymon, Gabumon, and Agumon will come back? Then again what about the other Digidestined that lost their Digimon. You can be I'm excited for the next entry, especially with how good these last 2 have been.
