It's time to talk about the next evolution of Dracula and Castlevania...the 16-Bit Era! Since we've already gone through the NES games (Castlevania, Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse) its time to move onto some Mode 7 graphical goodness!
Super Castlevania IV took the retro gaming Castlevania formula and modernized it, giving us a pretty damn near perfect action platformer! Simon Belmont is back and he brought his whip to the party...and this time that whip has eight different directions it can knock monsters around in! It's the 8-Bit Castlevania you know and love...except prettier and on the Super Nintendo! An absolute retrogaming classic!
But this wasn't Dracula's only system for the 16-Bit era! We still have the Sharp X68000 and the Sega Genesis to go!
