Dragon Age Veilguard, is a very divisive game, on the one hand the story isn't that bad, it has a hint of wanting to return to dragon age's roots, a bit of origins, 2, and inquisition. The combat is a pretty big departure, but it's not totally unwelcome, because honestly, for me, it felt pretty satisfying. THAT BEING SAID there is ALOT of stuff that people hate about this game. The story gives you the illusion of choice, when in reality there isn't much, you pick an option for your character, and they say something else entirely. The locations are also very linear or story-gated. Hope you like the enemy design of the enemies, because you're going to see mostly the same ones throughout the entire game, even most of the major bosses are just the same skins with the same moves, including the laziest enemy design I've ever seen in a modern game. That's not even mentioning Taash(lots of online backlash over Taash) After seeing some of the concept art for some of these characters, it really makes you wonder why the hell some of these designs made it through to the finished product when they had FAR better in conecpt. Dread Wolf is an infinitely better name than Veilguard. There's just so many questionable decisions that were greenlit that it seems like they had a homerun set up on a tee and they decided to just self-sabotage for an expenditure tax write-off or something instead. There are a couple of REALLY cool and spooky moments in the game, so you be the judge. Let's play by XAemonX live on Twitch October 31, 2024 -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/xaemonx
