Here i test out the 505 game titled Dragon Blaze. A more uncommon ps2 title from the shoot em up genre. And as any japanese shmup fan will understand, the screen fills with millions of bullets that are impossible to dodge....why do they do this?
I love shmups, but these type ones just end up making me angry. Its a shame as Dragon Blaze had potential.
Graphic wise, i dont really think the game made any use of the ps2 capabilities. Im not sure if this is a coin-op game, but its layed out as if it was a direct conversion. The playability was destroyed by forcing me to waste every milisecond of playtime to dodging bullets that cant be dodged. I think the only way ill try this one again is if i can find an invincibility cheat, credits are infinite, but restarting levels or areas is a pain.
This ones for the hardcore shmup fans only i think
