Dragon + Kinship All Around Multi-Weapon Build. Ready for Monster Hunter Stories 2 Update 2.0
70This is my favorite build set in the current game before update 2.0
It is a ready for anything else focusing in two things:
Dragon damage and Kinship generation.
I use Dragon as my default element because the current game has only two monsters in the whole game with a high dragon resistance.
By using two or three weapons of dragon element of each damage kind, allows me to exploit any weakness of the monster and deal decent damage.
The weapon type (blunt, piercing, slashing) vulnerability is greater than the one from using the correct element.
I use stygian zinogre armor because it gives me Dragon Element XL, Dancer L and Partner.
Partner will activate after a head to head against most of the monsters of the special elder lair for extra kinship.
After using a kinship attack, dancer will be always active for another chunk of extra damage.
Kinship generation is also being take care by the charm, a Head to Head XL plus a Kinship L
With this I get attack power and kinship.
In the included sample fight against the special lair rajang you can see how it doesn't matter what I get full kinship from any head to head.
Likewise I also get 59% kinship from any double attack done with a hammer.
Gunlance when doing head to heads only raises half the kinship being terrible at it.
Because of that, using a side arm of another type allows for super quick kinship fill even if you don’t get a direct head to head.
An outstanding strategy in multiplayer is to perform head to heads with your companion’s monstie.
This gives both a good chunk of kinship.
This build is complemented with the use of Aptonoth or Popo. After their kinship, you will have full health and the dance will activate for good damage even if you have zero kinship.
Always use the correct weapon for the zone.
A final tip is when opening a fight if you don’t have the opportunity to use a head to head or a double attack, to use the guard skill of gunlance.
This gives you one shell. If the monster targets you the next turn, you will have enough shells for filling your kinship full.
