Just a simple test model.

A dragon made from a box converted to editable poly made smoother with NURMS subdivisions smoothened by material, only one half was modeled, the other half was mirrored as reference so both sides could be worked on at the same time while still using the NURMS subdivision.

I also tried using modify-edit poly and modify-symmetry but then I couldn't find the NURMS subdivision option. I wanted to be able to model one side with the other side being mirrored in real time while also having real time subdivision and with edit poly and symmetry that didn't seem to work. I'm still learning the program so maybe it's just me not knowing how to do it properly, I don't know.

The material for the skin is diffuse color with a noise bump map, but you can't see that because youtube compressed the video so all the little details are a blurry mess. Thanks youtube!

The animation is simply two omni lights, one above and one below, on separate sides of the model spinning around it 360 degrees.

Program used: 3D Studio Max 8 (Autodesk 3DS Max 8)

The rendering of this simple little low rez animation took forever because my computer is low end garbage and I'm poor and can't afford a better one, frankly I'm just happy to finally HAVE a computer.

Thanks for watching!
