Previously, Heorot and his friend Malroth defeated the Master of Destruction. Now, they will return to the Isle of Awakening for the final scenes of the game.
After resuming, they arrive on the darkened beach of the Isle of Awakening. The optional objective to make all sorts of food is complete. Their friends arrive to greet them.
After the scene, Heorot speaks to Lulu for an errand (time 1:50). A scene takes place.
Next, Heorot must accompany Lulu up to the Mountaintop. It is pretty dark. Heorot can find some of his friends along the way.
At the Mountaintop temple, Heorot speaks to Lulu (time 6:05). Errand complete! After the others arrive, Malroth declares what he and Heorot are going to do. It sounds ambitious, I must say. Heorot will have an opportunity to speak to everyone.
Once Heorot has spoken with everyone else, he talks to Malroth for the final story errand (time 25:27). Heorot tells Malroth that he is ready. Then, Heorot and Malroth do their thing to save the world. Brilliant. How better could it end?
Afterwards, the game's credits roll (time 28:32). This is a worthy sequel to Dragon Quest Builders. It has more JRPG elements and a lot more story. The building and combat are well done. My only complaint is that the game seems a bit TOO easy.
This is a good time for Dragon Quest fans and Nintendo Switch owners. As of this writing, four Dragon Quest games are coming to the Switch: Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II, Dragon Quest III, and Dragon Quest XI. My hope is that even more will come eventually.
After the credits, a final scene takes place between Heorot and Malroth (time 32:41). Cute!
With that, the story comes to an end (time 34:28). The player earns the gold trophy "Living Legend" for completing the main story. However, be sure to save your completed game. You can load it up to continue building and questing.
This concludes the main part of my playthrough of Dragon Quest Builders 2. I may do some bonus postgame building, but I anticipate moving on to another game.
Thanks for watching! I hope to see you again in my other playthroughs.
