This video is of the town of Ashalam during the night in Dragon Quest III SFC/SNES. It also includes one of the "infamous" puff-puff scenes featured in Dragon Quest games.

Ashalam also features a dancing bar, the only one which appears in Dragon Quest III. Note that in the SFC/SNES version of the game and the Game Boy Color version, the music of Ashalam at night is the same soundtrack used for the Pyramid.

There are several magic key doors which cannot be opened until after the heroes visit the Pyramid and return here.

The puff-puff massage scene was altered in the original NES release of the game to be a fortune telling scene instead. This was consistent with the original NES releases of Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest II. It would not be until Dragon Quest IV when a puff-puff sequence would be uncut from the NES release.
