The party has found the Zenithian Shield in Femiscyra and the Zenithian Armour in a cave north of Minikin's Dominion. Now, from Havre Léon, they sail northeast to a long island between Mamon and Zamoksva. In the middle of this island, they find a town on the northern side of an inlet.

The punny name of this town is Dunplundrin (time index 2:02). The folk here are descendants of pirates. This place was formerly known by the quaint name of Seaside Village in the NES translation.

In the northwest house near the entrance, a wardrobe contains a Leather Hat. A gentleman in this house tells the party about the Sands of Time. Truly a useful item. Also, a man by the well mentions that the pirates hid a Liquid Metal Sword among their plunder.

Down the well, wardrobes contains Mini Medal #29 and a pair of Fishnet Stockings (time index 3:04).

A lady by the shorrre says that the town used to have a Karstaway Stone, an amazing object that dries up the water around it. Also, the beach is buried underwater when night comes around.

A book in the inn has a very interesting tale.

If you visit Dunplundrin at night, the tide will have rolled in, and you will see what looks like a small whirlpool south of the inn (time index 7:17). It turns out the Karstaway Stone is in the spot of the whirlpool.

Returning to the beach during the day, the party can examine the ground to pick up the Karstaway Stone (time index 7:45). Nice! It reminds me of the Vase of Drought in Dragon Warrior III.

Armed with this stone, the party Zooms back to Mintos. After resting at the inn, they sail northeast. They land on the eastern side of the island where Rosehill is located and seek a cave. Along the way, Kiryl reaches Level 23 (time index 9:37).

By the shores of a mountain lake, the party finds the Cascade Cave (time index 10:37). A very wet place, it would appear. North from the entrance, the party finds the way forward blocked by water (time index 12:05). But nobody can swim in this game, oh no. To drain the water and open the way forward, the party must throw in the Karstaway Stone. This allows the party to go down the stairs.

On the level below (time index 12:39), past a Magic Key door, the party finds a chest containing the Sands of Time. This useful item can be used as often as needed to reset battles. It is actually a bit useful for hunting members of the Metal Slime family. Past the jail door to the north, the party descends further into the cave.

Downstairs on the third level (time index 13:03), the party can go north and then west. In the first chest, they find Mini Medal #30 (time index 14:15). From there, the path is winding but straightforward to the next level.

Down on the fourth level (time index 16:36), the party first heads south to nab a Death Mask from a chest. This headgear is cursed. Then, from the stairs, they head east. Down some stairs, there is a chest containing 780 Gold (time index 19:15). Farther east and then around south and west, there is another stairway leading down.

On the fifth level (time index 21:16), it is a simple route to a prominent treasure chest containing the Liquid Metal Sword. Truly one of the best weapons in the entire game! Not only does it have high attack power, it also deals 2 points of damage to members of the Metal Slime family.

After warping out of the cave with Evac, the party Zooms to Minikin's Dominion (time index 23:44). For turning in a total of 30 Mini Medals, King Minikin rewards the party with a Staff of Divine Wrath.

The party next heads to Riverton, where they buy Ragnar a Dragon Mail and a Dragonsbane and unload some excess equipment.

Afterwards, they head back to Havre Léon to rest up.
