Previously, the party visited the Shrine of Legend in the real world and found Stormsgate Citadel, a familiar-looking structure taken over by monsters. Now, it's time to go after the boss of the monsters here.
After resuming, they head back into the Shrine of Legend (time 0:24) and take the portal back up to Stormsgate Citadel (time 0:32).
In the throne room, a scene occurs as they approach Dhuran, the head honcho of the monsters (time 0:50). He congratulates the party on finding the four legendary relics before summoning some monsters to fight them.
First, the party must battle an Überkilling Machine and an Iron Tortoise (time 2:06). The Überkilling Machine is very dangerous. It can attack twice in one round, and it has very high attack power. The Tongue Bashing ability will reduce the Iron Tortoise's defense to 0 for a short time. Spend a round or two buffing while Carver tanks with Forbearance, and then let these monsters have it. The Überkilling Machine is immune to wind attacks like Thin Air and Wind Sickles, but it is susceptible to lightning attacks.
At the end of the battle, Healie, the Healslime, reaches Level 28 (time 4:24).
Then, Dhuran has more dialogue for the party (time 4:44). This time, he brings forth a human blinded by his desire for power. We have already met him: Terry.
So, the party must battle Terry (time 5:42). He has Gust Slash and Falcon Slash for attacks against single party members. He can attack the entire party with Multislice. His most damaging attack is the lightning from the Sunderbolt Blade. Too bad the party could not win that instead.
The party's best bet is to buff up to resist his physical attacks. Magic is not effective against him, so Oomph the physical attackers. Hustle Dance is an excellent way to stay healed up.
At the end of the battle, Goowain, the Slime Knight, reaches Level 31 (time 9:17).
Afterwards, Dhuran speaks again (time 9:36). Before engaging the party in battle, he restores their HP and MP to full. Great shades of Rubicante!
Then, it is time to fight the Dread Fiend Dhuran (time 10:11). He can act twice in a round, which is annoying enough. He can also use Disruptive Wave to dispel the party's buffs. What a jerk. Among his attacks, he can "move faster than the eye can see", which deals three random attacks to party members. He hand Wind Sickles, which deals major damage. He has Harvest Moon, which deals some physical damage to all party members. He can cast Bounce, which reflects one spell directed at him.
Because of his Disruptive Wave, the best buffing strategy is to Kabuff once and Oomph a good physical attacker. Fullheal, Multiheal, and Hustle Dance are all good abilities to have for healing. Stay healed and slug it out.
When the battle is over, Carver, the Carpenter's Son, reaches Level 35 (time 14:43). Milly reaches Mage Rank 3, Magician. She learns Sizzle and Zoom.
Then, Dhuran has a bit more to say before he goes blooey (time 15:12). He and the other Dread Fiends--Murdaw, Jamirus, and Gracos--were minions of the Archfiend Mortamor. Goodbye, Dhuran.
Before the party can leave, Terry speaks up (time 16:22). It turns out he and Milly are the long-lost brother and sister from Felonia! At Milly's request, Terry, the Swordsman in Blue, joins the party. He starts at Level 28. He has already maxed Warrior and Martial Artist, and he is a Rank 1 Gladiator, Flyweight. He starts with the abilities Focus Strength, Dodgy Dance, Leg Sweep, Wind Sickles, Frenzy, Pressure Pointer, Multifists, Hatchet Man, Falcon Slash, Mercurial Thrust, Double-Edged Slash, Gust Slash, Roundhouse Kick, Knuckle Sandwich, and Heave-Ho. Most importantly, he brings with him the Sunderbolt Blade and the Platinum Headgear. Also, Milly's title changes from Mysterious Girl to Long Lost Sister.
So, that is it for Stormsgate Citadel. A scene happens as the party descends to the Shrine of Legend (time 22:03). The darkness clears from the citadel, and it rises to fill in the last remaining hole in the Dream World. Cloudsgate Citadel is back where it should be! I would say this is the party's next destination.
The party Zooms over to Port Haven (time 23:32). At Patty's, they temporarily boot out Amos to put Terry in.
Description is continued in the comments.
