Baramous from Dragon Quest 3 fame makes his way to Dragon Quest X. Baramous can be tricky. Though he did not use it in this particular battle, his jump attack should be feared. It does absurd amounts of damage and hits a wide radius around him. He also has a variety of status ailments that can cripple a party and bring a swift defeat.

In this battle, we implement teamwork to keep such a powerful enemy under control.

As a Paladin, Ashes takes the front line. His most important job is to prevent Baramous from reaching us. Ashes isn't heavy enough to move Baramous back, but with the weight up spell, he's able to keep Baramous from advancing forward. Ashes also has a wand skill that makes him temporarily immune to status ailments. He also has hammer skills that can disrupt some of Baramous's actions.

Krw is a Mage. His job is simple. Hit Baramous with magic. He is our primary damage dealer.

Mimas is a Sage. Her job is to provide backup healing when needed, and contribute additional damage when appropriate.

I am a Priest, thus my primary job is to heal. Additionally, I also raise defense and put some instant kill safeguards on the party, especially Ashes, when HP levels are looking good. While Ashes is able to inflict Weight Up himself, I typically cast the spell on him to free him up for other things, such as disruption attacks.
