Davilas the Elf is currently working on the Azlan storyline. Previously, he carried out the concierge quest, and he went north of Azlan to find Fuura at the Cape of Tears.

Now, he is back in Azlan to revisit Father Taketora. Along the way, in front of the inn, he finds Sazanami, a priest with a quest (time 1:05). He issues Quest 034, "Ordeal of Dharma." Completing this quest enables the character to change vocations at will when visiting a vocation-change priest. This requires slaying a Golem in Western Glen.

Back up in the mansion, Davilas talks with Father Taketora again (time 3:46). Taketora brings up the subject of the Key Emblem, which is indeed what Davilas is here for. However, there is more that Davilas will need to do. Next, Davilas must go south to Inamino Road and visit Inamino's southwest checkpoint.

Davilas deposits his gold at the vault and rests at the inn. After resting, he reaches fame level 4 (time 8:19). Nice!

Then, he takes the train to the first Ogre hub city, Glen (time 9:10). After arriving, he sets his respawn point here, just in case that Golem pounds his face in.

He heads out the exit to the Western Glen region (time 10:48). This area is more desert-like than other races' areas.

Underneath a tree at G-1, there are farming spots for branches (time 11:54). Under a tree at F-2, there are farming spots for trees and walnuts of some sort (time 12:53).

At the first place where he can turn south, Davilas does so. Underneath a cactus, he finds a farming spot for a small cactus at E-2 (time 14:52). "Big Saboten"?

In the middle of the area, there seem to be Gas Glouds, Aggrosculptures, and Paralyslicers. Well, if you are in the Glen area and are seeking Paralyslicers for the concierge quest, this is where you need to go.

In the southern reaches of Western Glen, Davilas will find the Golems that he seeks (time 17:42). Golems are pretty tough for a party Level 20 party. Fortunately, they are susceptible to Sap, and damage output can be increased by putting Oomph on the melee characters. Be on the lookout for tension.

When the Golem is defeated, Davilas receives his quest item (time 20:10).

Back in Azlan, he turns in the item to the vocation-changing priest (time 21:33). The Dharma Ordeal is passed, and Davilas can now change vocations!

After getting his just rewards, Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 21 (time 23:01).

In the post office in the southeast of town, Davilas can accept Quest 019 from Taruhi at the right-hand counter (time 25:21). When he cancels out of her menu, she will offer the quest. She will want an item from a Woody Eye, one of the floating tree trunk creatures out in the Azlan countryside. Davilas also takes the opportunity to go through his mail and get rid of that pesky envelope icon.

After Davilas withdraws some gold, it is time to buy some Level 21 gear. First, at the weapon shop, he picks up the Level 21 staff (time 29:45). At the armour shop, he picks up some Level 21 armour in the light armour line (time 30:27). He gets everything but the hat, since the Angel Slime hat offers that sweet experience boost. Also, he picks up the new Level 21 Silver Dagger. When done, he puts his old equipment into storage.

Back at the pub, Davilas recruits some new followers (time 34:32). Again, he chooses a Priest, a Warrior, and a Gladiator.

At the town entrance, he accepts another daily gate quest from the guard, Madaraki (time 37:32). This quest is to kill 10 particular creatures on Inamino Road.

Then, Davilas exits to the Azlan countryside (time 38:38). He heads to the south.

By a tree at D-6, he finds a farming spot for branches (time 40:18).

In some shrubbery at D-7, there is a farming spot for Antidotal Herbs (time 41:23).

The Woody Eyes in the Azlan countryside are the quest target for Quest 019. Before long, Davilas receives the quest item (time 42:32). The item appears to be some kind of flower.

By a tree farther to the south at D-8, there is a farming point for branches (time 43:34).

Then, Davilas takes the southwest exit to Inamino Road (time 44:30). Reminds me of Pashhow Marshlands in FF11, but not nearly as bad.

The target for my daily hunt quest is the green automaton with a tall, narrow banner on its back (time 47:48).

East of the entrance at C-2, there is a farming spot for silk flowers (time 49:47).

In the reedy grasses at C-2, there is a farming spot for Fresh Water (time 51:35).

After some time, Davilas kills the last of the green automatons (time 53:17).

Back in Azlan, he first turns in the gate quest (time 53:54). 2,880 experience and gold! That is quite a generous reward.
