The videos were made as a collaboration between the artists (Heidi Sabertooth, Drakkar Noir) and filmmaking team L:A:P:S:E (Carbon Anderson + Virginia de las Pozas).  The videos were both made during the late summer of 2020 COVID lockdown in desolate parts of Bushwick and Coney Island, Brooklyn NY.  Shot in the middle of the night (or what would have been post-club early morning after hours), they reveal an urban landscape that is eerily empty and capture the pensiveness of that extraordinary time -  will darkness break into dawn?

Tracklist:
Drakkar Noir - Side A:
1) free delight
2) shadow reel
3) foot a night vine
4) strobah

Heidi Sabertooth - Side B:
1) This Time I'll Quit You for Good
2) It Says You Read It
3) Smoking In the Studio
4) I’m Gaining Weight Again

Heidi Sabertooth and Drakkar Noir (aka R Gamble) are both core members of Lost Soul Enterprises, a New York-based label and platform for analog experiments and mutant sounds past and present: wave, electro, body music, and all things in between. This EP represents the first time these two artists have appeared together on the same release.

The title of the EP, 'The Sleep of Reason' is inspired by the famous Goya etching (The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters). It is intended as both a homage to a visionary artist and a reflection that the sentiment in the artwork resonates particularly today.

Both artists approach music production using primarily analog hardware and synthesizers, rather than computers.

'The Sleep of Reason' showcases two well-seasoned artists flexing a mastery of their machines, delivering subterranean electro, techno and body music. Gritty, murky basslines meet squelching melodies and alien vocals, all with the vibrant, present, live-wire energy of a hardware set performed in a smoky, crowded basement, rather than programmed within the confines of a studio.
