This is an early work in progress port of Doom 64 to the Sega Dreamcast by @jnmartin84! A while back, @jnmartin84 and I were talking about the Dreamcast, about how cool would it be to be able to burn Doom 64 mods onto CDs and share them. In a lot of ways, with its single analog-stick controller, the Dreamcast felt like a successor to the Nintendo 64. Doom 64 was really designed around a single analog-stick, so it just feels right on the Dreamcast.
You can see at this point the level geometry and gameplay is fully functional. The skies are starting to be implemented as well as the sprites, but those are being worked on more. I have seen a build with WIP music too! Interestingly the Dreamcast has bilinear filtering instead of the Nintendo 64 3-point filtering, which Doom 64 works just as well in!
