[DRG] Hazard 6x2 Mining True Solo Engineer (Cycle Overload & Volatile Impact Reactor) +MEA
With this sucessful clear, I've finally covered most of Engi main and side weapons on H6x2, except the PGL (it sucks in modded lol).
Easier said than done though, this loadout is probably the worst I could take for Engineer on a true solo H6x2 run, because of one thing: IT HAS NO SAFETY MEASURE.
Other classes I play usually have some kind of "safety measure", like Driller with the C4 and Drill, Scout with Grappling Hook and most of the grenades, Gunner has the Shield (and possibly Fear mod Coilgun if you are the one who likes to cheese lol).
The typical Engineer H6x2 true solo I played in the past mostly made a good bunker/area to hold out during swarm, but usually stay there most of the time (because Breach is so strong it gives safety by instantly obliterate the upcoming bugs, or by giving CC option via T5 Stun mod). SD ViR kills bugs slowly, so they will just overwhelm you easily if you can't back out the hold out area, and Engi just dies because there is no saving grace for him (Shredder only slows down the bugs, but not all of them, and Warthog CO doesn't give consistent stun unlike Stunner for satefy, but even with Stunner it's still very safety-free. Furthermore, Warthog is an underwhelming weapon at this age of the time since EMR DMG Stubby and Executioner LOK-1 is virtually better in every way at killing single target bug, atleast Warthog has Turret Whip as only saving grace, though didn't utilized it often because of my quite bad sentry management).
So at the end, it took me a 6-7 hours to have a successful ViR run (Used to play with different Warthog OCs like Magnetic Pellet Alignment and Stunner, and even grenade as well like Proxi nade, but none succeeded), even lost count of the attempts, maybe 40-50 times?
L.U.R.E will definitely my life easier here, but I didn't pick it so was a pity.
Some of my opinions was made in my mind after discussing on PDRG for a bit with other players, so I mostly referenced their opinions as well because they are so true.
Anyway this cave gen is nice, since I get to get to the final room easily and the terrain between the tunnels aren't that bad, give enough space to retreat/move away from the bugs, and also enough sight to make use of ViR here, not much to say about Warthog CO, it's kinda ehh...
No one saw my mishaps with the platforms and the oppressor later on.
MEA (More Enemy Attackers) mod MIGHT this quite less painful to attempt, by forcing all bugs to aggro to you, making bug trickle non-existent. But also taking resupply more difficult on engi because of no safety.
