Duke Nukem Forever and The Phantom Menace: a comparison
Did you know that the 2001 DNF trailer has been basically cloned beat-for-beat from the trailer of Star Wars: Episode 1?
Scott Miller himself said it, right here:

"Some of you already figured it it out, the inspiration for the 2001 E3 trailer was the trailer for The Phantom Menace. George analyzed that trailer on a second by second basis, to figure out the pacing, and how it told the story. And our trailer basically tried to clone it beat-for-beat. The thinking was simple: Surely Lucas knows what he's doing, so we'll learn from him."
It's true, and this is the proof. I took the video from the Phantom Menace trailer and the audio from the DNF trailer, and put them together. The result is what you can see right here.
