Dungeon Hack (VOD) Level #24 & #25 - What even is that thing!? Insane final boss! (Final)
Now this was one epic delve! I wanted this to be a pretty short run, dying before lvl 10 (maybe even before lvl 5), but turned out to be one of more broken runs i ever played!
List of broken/high value treasure items:
Ring of shocking grasp - extra dmg with melee weapons!
Wand of smiting +3 (even multiple ones as mage can DUAL WIELD THEM) paired with ring of shocking grasp was very good early on
Vampiric touch - limitless extra HP pool was just too broken. remember when we got hit for over double of our max HP? yeeeaaaa
Chilling touch spell - once we got higher lvl, there was no longer need to use any other weapon. Dual 'wielded' slapping!
Mordekeins sword spell - did not have extra effect of chill touch (causing undead to run away), but i felt like it was hitting for more and with higher accuracy. also able to dual wield!
Ring of sustenance - we found it halfway through the dungeon, which significantly sped up the remainder of the game
I did NOT find gauntlets of giant strength. this would make it even faster. maybe they were laying somewhere, but i could NOT be bothered to look for them after ring of sustenance.
I assume I had over 2-3k HP at the end. i might try to reload last save and get myself pummeled to check it, maybe if i get bored, or if this video gets an insane number of likes! at least 50 or so! (once it reaches, leave a comment confirming and i'll get back to it!)
Dungeon Hack is a 1993 role-playing video game developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by Strategic Simulations for DOS and NEC PC-9801.
The game is based in the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons world of Forgotten Realms. It blends gameplay elements of roguelikes and the Eye of the Beholder series.
Dungeon Hack features a three-dimensional, randomly generated dungeon; SSI claimed that "over 4 billion" different dungeons were possible. The game features a pseudo-3D game screen based on Eye of the Beholder series. Like Rogue, dungeons are randomly generated whenever a new game is started. As a result, virtually all dungeons generated by the game are different. However, players can share random seeds used to generate a specific dungeon. Dungeons can be customized for difficulty, such as limiting the number of traps, puzzles, and powerful enemies. Unlike Eye of the Beholder, players control only a single adventurer.
Dungeon Hack uses the rules mechanics of AD&D 2nd Edition. Permadeath, in which all saves are erased upon character death, is an option, like traditional roguelike games but unlike other graphical AD&D games such as Pool of Radiance. Unlike traditional roguelikes, Dungeon Hack has a complex character creation system, but it offers pregenerated characters to speed up the process of recovering from permadeath.
