Session XXXVII - Part 3 Summary:

Rekoj's arsenal of weapons is donated to the dwarven blacksmith, who turns out to be Rhekd's cousin. Coltaine breaks the news about Rekoj's death, and the dwarf blames himself for not pushing dwarven armor on him enough.

The Drogans then make the funeral arrangements with Sister Linora at the temple.

On Autumn's tombstone is engraved, "Stabby stabby."

On Rekoj's tombstone is engraved, "The roaming armory. A bold and handsome man. He was good people."

On the morrow, the townsfolk gather in the graveyard for the double funeral. When the time comes for anyone to step forward and speak about the dead, Coltaine says, "Rekoj was good people." For Autumn, he explains how she turned out to be the rogue with a heart of gold, sacrificing herself to save Zook.

Win'tyr says, for Rekoj, "Good night, sweet prince."

As the ceremonies are about to conclude, a figure emerges from the crowd to speak -- an older gentleman; a short, roundish man wearing curious clothing, a black hat, and a monocle. Coltaine recognizes him as none other than Jacques Orville Kelly Erebit the Red. He clears his throat, adjusts his hat, fixes his monocle, smoothes out his vest, clears his throat again, cracks his knuckles, opens his vest, reaches in, and pulls out a few sheets of parchment. He holds them at arm's length, squints, holds them closer, scrutinizes the writing, and shuffles through the pages until he finds one he seems content with.

He inhales deeply and says, "Asparagus."

He puts the papers back in his vest, steps away, and falls into Rekoj's open grave.

The ceremony concludes, and as the crowd disperses, Win'tyr and Coltaine head off to have a little conversation about Ninaran -- what transpires between them will be revealed next session.
