The Department of Engineering at Durham University is the department engaged in the teaching and research of Engineering across a broad range of disciplines. It was formed following the split of the School of Engineering & Computer Sciences in October 2017. The engineering research covers civil, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering research groups cover topics within three distinct Research Challenge areas; Future Energy Systems, Next Generation Materials & Microsystems and Sustainable Infrastructure.
